Who Are We
Astha-UK is a UK-based, community-led organisation dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and refugees. We work to create safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces where individuals can access practical support, emotional care, and a sense of belonging as they rebuild their lives in the UK.
Our Mission
Astha-UK exists to provide safe, accessible support to LGBTQ+ asylum seekers in the UK, while educating communities about LGBTQ+ rights, lived experiences, and human rights issues in Bangladesh.
Our Vision
Astha-UK envisions a world where LGBTQ+ people are able to live with dignity, safety, and equality—free from persecution, discrimination, and fear—both in the UK and Bangladesh, and where communities are informed, compassionate, and committed to upholding human rights for all.
